ABOUT ME

Malcolms' father, Saba Farry and his mother Bediea Lettoof were both born in Dunedin and apart from living and working for a period in Gore, spent their entire lives in this city.

Saba Farry, from humble beginnings as a hawker in the Otago/Southland area, through hard work and commitment, became a successful businessman and firmly established the Farry Group of Companies.

Malcolm has lived in Dunedin for most of his life and is the sixth child in a family of seven.  He was educated in Gore, Oamaru and in Dunedin where he trained as a Dentist at the University of Otago.  As a student he worked at a variety of jobs - on the roads, in retail, on the wharf and at the freezing works.

In 1969 he married Lyn.  Malcolm and Lyn have a family of eight - five daughters and three sons.  All eight are graduates of the University of Otago.



Malcolm's interests include reading a good book, a session at the gym, walking, a night at the theatre, a movie, great music, stimulating company, watching sport and spending precious time with his family.
